Check out our moves!

August 2009, I arrived at the highest of 7 hills a boy. Not aware of the journey that was bestowed before me. I have persevered through personal struggles, family issues, financial adversity and it did not break me. I am proud to say that through it all I have made it! I’m forever grateful to @famu_1887 for maturing me from childhood to manhood. I’ve had much success as well as failures but overall I couldn’t have made a better choice! This Friday, August 1st 2014 at 6pm I will be receiving my Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology (Cum Laude) from the illustrious Florida A&M University! All praises to the creator for keeping me! Special thanks to my family who’s offered support throughout my matriculation. I’d also like to thank the friends I’ve made over the years who has been there for me as well! I made it!!! #Famu #Rattler

FYI - No one was charged or sent to prison for this crime. Everyone knew who the murderers were. In the days leading up to the murder of Mary Turner and her baby, white mobs in the town killed many Black people. Hundreds of Black people fled for their lives, leaving everything behind.
I was fortunate to learn about things like this from discussions in my Black studies class in college. I will never forget it. I had a great professor by the name of Dr. Arthur Lewin who fostered group discussions. I learned so much not only from him, but from the discussions in his class. I owe a lot to Dr. Lewin and another educator named Dr. TJ Desch-Obi who is an African Studies lecturer. They taught me a lot. Forever indebted.
